Which came first, chicken or egg? You decide.

Image
Watch video on linke below From the time our cavemen ancestors first gazed at the stars and started pondering everything from the trivial to the profound, humanity has been debating which came first, chicken or egg. In those days it might have been focused on dino or egg. This is my take, a video created with generative AI.   The Making of the Video  Step 1. Songwriting After keying in a prompt into Suno outlining what the song is all about it spewed out in seconds two versions with the following lyrics: [Verse 1] Which came first the chicken or the egg Round and round it goes playin' on my head Feathers and shells and mornin' sunlight Crackin' jokes 'bout what's wrong or right [Verse 2] Cluckin' around in a barnyard chase Egg rolls down in a fast-paced race Chickens laugh with a wingful glee Mystery spins like a carnival spree [Chorus] Chicken or egg it's a riddle we sing What hatched first the bird or the thing Round and round goes the fun debate Let...

What is "Overcapacity," the buzzword on every politician's lips all across the West!

Image
At election rallies, business forums, on primetime TV, on radio, in print, there is overcapacity of the word!  Why? Because politicians have coined it as the catchphrase to pin the blame for all the woes they themselves have created, on China, the source of all the overcapacity of EVs, solar panels, appliances, gadgets, etc, etc, that are flooding the world. The West paints overcapacity as an existential threat to the survival of their companies and the job security of their employees. However the pro overcapacity side celebrate its benefits like lowering the cost of living for the average wage earners who are wrestling with high inflation.  Love it or hate it, overcapacity is on everyone's mind and echoed incessantly by the mainstream media so you won't forget it!  But I have turned it into a song to put the word in perspective.  Enlisting the synergy between natural intelligence and AI, "Overcapacity the Song" explores both sides of the coin with witty lyrics and f...

Experimenting with LTX Studio to create a micro-movie

Image
View video below. This is my attempt at using LTX Studio to generate a micro movie complete with music, sound effects and voice over, all in one pass.   Title: “The Princess’ Triumph” Synopsis: Aisha hailed from a long line of absolute rulers. Revered for her beauty and intellect, kings and emperors from near and far sought her hand in marriage. But her heart was promised to her childhood friend Farus who grew to become the Commander of the Palace Guards. Her next in line to the throne Reena would stop at nothing to achieve her secret ambition to replace her. Result: A 100% AI generated 35 sec. micro movie. I first wrote the synopsis and fed it as the prompt into the platform. It generated a storyboard comprising 5 scenes, each offering some degree of customisation with the soundtrack, sound effects and the voice over. Overall the user interface turned out to be fairly intuitive and I was able to achieve a good deal of customisation to bring my vision to life. It isn’t perfe...

Riding the AI Revolution to Achieve Top-of-Mind Awareness

Image
Artificial Intelligence as a tool With Artificial Intelligence sweeping the world by storm, our product positioning for Pilot Pen as the leader in pen technology and innovation has found the perfect vehicle to drive up top-of-mind awareness. We proposed kicking off a promo in school bookshops featuring, you guessed it, AI generated content containing gleaming metallic robots against galactic night-sky backgrounds evoking a futuristic world for Pilot Pen products. We would do three ads centred on this theme.  Launch ad featured AI-generated robot hand and galactic sky The launch ad offering two free tubes of pencil lead refills with pen purchase performed to expectations and generated considerable buzz in the schools. This AI generated image featured a chrome-finished steel robot's hand  against a galactic sky background. Followup ad didn’t go down well. For the next ad in the series which offered a free ink refill with pen purchase, we continued focusing on the product-...

AI and I: The Birth of a Fantasy Adventure Romance

Image
Front cover With the whole world still in the grip of AI mania , I have produced an AI-assisted fantasy adventure romance about the birth of the Merlion , Singapore 's most loved icon. It tells of a chance encounter between a lion and a mermaid on a beach in Singapore in a time of myths and legends. It was love at first sight. But their love was forbidden, and the lion had to embark on a perilous quest to win the heart of the mermaid. Love triumphed and soon a legend was born. The Merlion.  My journey began with outlining the story and feeding it into ChatGPT and prompting it to expand the story. It worked at light speed, spewing out the result in under two minutes. After some variations and editing, the script was ready. Earlier I had generated the images for the story using Leonardo AI . I used both the platform models and the community ones. As expected, the products were delivered in seconds and I was bowled over by the quality of the images especially those that were pr...

AI and I: Introducing a new bromance

Image
AI has taken the world by storm since the launch of ChatGPT and yours truly has also been swept up by the current. In the process I have tried ChatGPT for text composing, Dall-E 2 and Leonardo.AI for image generation, and will be poking around several others that do text to voice, text to video and other marvels of AI to get an overview of all the buzz and hype that has set the art world on fire.  Finally I settled down to do some real work and enlisted Leonardo to help out. After testing Leonardo, hereinafter Leon for short, on several quick projects I decided to prompt him to generate a picture of three koi fish. In 30 seconds flat he composed the requested 4 images, one of which I selected for further development.  One of four images done by Leonardo It appears Leon hasn't got much input on koi as the anatomical members per fish and their details could be better, or my prompts were not particularly specific to be helpful. Anyway I'm a greenhorn in this vital step of prompti...
